Save Midway Farm - Action Group
Following an article in the Burton Mail/Staffordshire Live the facebook group was created by Andrew Bennett. The article discussed how a 38 acre piece of land that is well walked and well known to the locals is being looked at by a company who specialise in buying land, help obtain planning permission and then sell on to developers.

Within one week the group has over 1000 members and as expected the the vast majority have been devastated by such a proposal. Letters of objection have been sent and so far the response from the council has been positive.

At present there have not been any applications for planning on this or surrounding land since 2016 and whilst it is hoped it stays that way preparations to protect it are being looked at. There are various charities and trusts who's aim is to help and protect the countryside for the future.
