 WELCOME

Lee Wood Valley Residents Association

The Lee Wood Valley Residents Association (LWVRA) is a voluntary organisation that was initially set up to oppose a planning application for housing in the strip of woodland known as Lee Wood Valley. The association gave the local community a voice which resulted in the planning application being turned down. To date the property developer applying for planning permission has not appealed against the council's decision and the temporary tree preservation order on the site was made permanent in April 2017 which is a fantastic result.

The main aim of the LWVRA is to protect, promote and represent the majority view of the community. By working with and through the Parish, District and County councils as well as other local Resident Associations, such as the Hartshorne Village Residents Association, we can voice our needs, concerns and support in respect to services, roads, public transport, tree preservation and planning applications.

By working together the Association's aim is to increase community spirit by working towards improving the quality of life for the residents and protecting the environment in which they live. All members are consulted and informed either by this website, email or hand delivered newsletter.

If you have any concerns or views that you think the Association can help you with please email the committee at LWVRA@hotmail.com and a member of the committee will respond to you directly.

You can subscribe to this site and your email will be added to the mailing list ensuring up to date information is delivered direct to your email inbox. The annual fee for membership/subscription in the LWVRA is £2 per household - this covers any administration costs.
